The Project
The planned works will improve the water quality in Elphin for generations of local people. In June 2022 the team onsite will begin replacing more than 1km of old cast iron pipes in the town centre. The new pipes will offer residents and businesses a better quality of water and will reduce the number of bursts.
The works will be carried out under the National Leakage Reduction Programme and are due to be completed by September 2022.
Services and Expertise
These essential works will take place along the Main Street, Chapel Street and Druid Lane, and on completion will reduce the number of outages and save treated drinking water from being lost into the ground.
Customers can contact Irish Water on 1800 278 278 if they have any queries relating to the project and details of any supply interruptions will be posted on the Supply and Service Updates section of the Irish Water website.
