SPA’s Bexwell to Isleham Infra Project Team win ‘Special Recognition Award’ at Anglian Water’s Supplier Awards
Our team on Anglian Water’s Strategic Pipeline Alliance picked up a Special Recognition Award for works completed to date at the Anglian Water Supplier Awards held earlier this week.
Within the Strategic Pipeline Alliance, the Project at Bexwell to Iselham is being delivered by Farrans and our supply chain partners. Bexwell to Iselham (B2I) is one of nine Infra projects within SPA.
The B2I Project is 33km in length and consists of circa 29.4km of 710 / 630Dia HDPE pipe and 3.6km of HDD Trenchless crossings. The route transverses through the Fenlands and we open cut through some 59 IDB ditches and watercourses which can be up to 6m in depth.
The team at B2I has worked with multiple internal and external stakeholders from inception to now be in a position where they have successfully delivered 50% of the project in some of the most challenging ground conditions in the UK. The remainder of the mains laying is due to complete by the end of 2024 with reinstatement complete by June 2025.
The team has constantly challenged themselves in looking for opportunities and efficiencies and successes have included the use of timber bog mats in lieu of substantial aggregate haul roads & compounds.
The project is being delivered using a range of specialist supply chain partners
The awards are an opportunity for Anglian Water to recognise the invaluable support and assistance of their supply chain partners to complete works across their business.
Congratulations to our team!
