Herring Bridge shortlisted for Infrastructure category at RICS National Awards 2024
Herring Bridge has been shortlisted for an award in the RICS National Awards 2024, Infrastructure category.
Delivered by BAM-Farrans Joint Venture (BFJV), this was a complex design, civil and structural engineering project, in an operational port environment.
Herring Bridge, Great Yarmouth’s Third River Crossing, is a nationally significant infrastructure project and one of the largest complex civil engineering schemes ever undertaken by Norfolk County Council (NCC).
Since opening in February 2024, Herring Bridge has significantly eased traffic congestion on the town’s roads, shortening journey times and improving journey reliability. The bridge was delivered within the client’s original budget of £121m.
