Farrans collects three National Considerate Constructor Scheme Awards
We are delighted to have collected three awards, including one Gold, at the Considerate Constructor Scheme’s National Awards which were held last week.
The CCS National Awards winners are exceptional sites, organisations and individuals who have demonstrated outstanding commitment to the Code of Considerate Practice in the areas of Community, Environment and Workforce.
Our Govan to Partick Bridge project in Glasgow received the highest honour of a Gold award with judges commenting:
“The project team’s management systems and focus on the community, environment, and workforce have been exceptional, resulting in positive community relations and the exceeding of ambitious sustainability and social value targets. The team actively worked towards reducing their carbon footprint. The site offered exemplary workforce facilities alongside a comprehensive mental health support programme, and effectively managed concerns such as equality, diversity, inclusion and respect to promote workforce wellbeing.”
Our Gull Wing Bridge project in Suffolk and Herring Bridge in Great Yarmouth, which we delivered in a JV with BAM, both received Bronze awards.
Suzanne Lutton, Head of Stakeholder and Social Value at Farrans, said: “It is testament and commitment to the hard work of our site teams, working in collaboration with the supply chain, to deliver under the themes of the scheme that we have had this award winning success on three of our projects this year. This is national recognition that our focus on delivering excellence as a Considerate Constructor is innovative, impactful and important. We always seek to leave the areas that we work in with a positive lasting legacy from our time on site and for these three important projects we are delighted that it is recognised we have delivered on that commitment.’
