Round Up: National Apprenticeship Week 2024

9.02.2024

Our team has had a busy few days at events across the UK for National Apprenticeship Week, as we encourage the next generation of talent to consider a career in construction and civil engineering.

We joined the CITB NI for their #NIAW2024 apprenticeship event yesterday at W5 Belfast where over 160 year 12-14 pupils learned about construction related opportunities.

In England, our team from Gull Wing bridge in Suffolk joined the Apprenticeships Fair at East Coast College in Lowestoft, offering students pathways to gain an insight into the industry.

You can read profiles of some of our current apprentices to find out more about their experiences here:

Ryan Crawford – who is based at our Tees Pipeline Project for our client Northumbrian Water.

Daniel McCarthy – who is based at our Govan to Partick bridge project for our client Glasgow City Council.

With apprenticeships you can:

  • Earn while you learn
  • Take a more experience-led approach to your career
  • Progress quickly into managerial positions
  • Find mentors to help you on your Chartership journey
