Safety workshops rolled out to primary schools as part of Project Pipeline social value
Our Community Business Partners have been busy rolling out a series of safety workshops and STEM skills classes to primary schools close to our Project Pipeline: County Durham and Tees Valley sites for our client Northumbrian Water.
We place social value at the heart of all of our projects and aim to leave a positive, lasting legacy through education and skills programmes, local supply chain engagement and job creation opportunities. We measure all of our outcomes using our bespoke tool which is adapted for each of our clients.
Karen Alexander from our Community Business Partner team visited Ingleton Primary School this week to talk to children about important issues such as safety, avoiding accidents and the role of a first aider.
The children in Willow Class learned to recognise important safety signs, and also some of the big pieces of equipment that are being used to create the new water main, which will support supplies for around 200,000 customers.
We hope there are some future stars of our industry, inspired by the work taking place near their homes.
