Farrans shortlisted for two All-Ireland Sustainability Awards

13.09.2023

We are excited to have made it on to the shortlist for two categories of the All-Ireland Sustainability Awards which are set to take place on 5th October 2023 at the Europa Hotel in Belfast.

Our Net-Zero Initiative and our Waste, Resource Management and Circular Economy Initiative have been selected from over 225 entries across the island.

The Net-Zero Initiative award is open to all industry types and focuses on the development and/or delivery of ambitious decarbonisation strategies. Entrants for this category were required to demonstrate how they will dramatically reduce emissions across their organisation.

The Waste Management and Circular Economy award recognises initiatives that drive an increase in waste and resource reduction, recycling and/or reuse or an increased focus on circular economy.

Judges were looking for projects that demonstrate tangible impacts, increase stakeholder engagement and/or ultimately help to advance the move towards a more resource efficient and circular economy.

Throughout our operations we ensure no net loss of biodiversity, we take action to prevent pollution and protect precious habitats. We have a goal to not only operate in a neutral way, but we aim to achieve climate positivity and have a positive environmental impact through our awareness programmes, emissions cutting, habitat enhancement schemes and ecological protection projects.
