Ryan McGreevy shortlisted for UK Construction Manager of the Year
We are delighted to announce our project manager, Ryan McGreevy has been shortlisted for the CIOB’s UK Construction Manager of the Year in the Secondary School category.
Ryan has been recognised for his work on Charlton Park Academy, a school for students with complex, special educational needs.
Charlton Park Academy is a school at the heart of the community. The building caters to the specific needs of its students and offers day and overnight respite care for the young adults. The school is a 24/7, 363 day a year facility and for this, it had to be built in parts to hospital standards. The construction included modern, state of the art facilities, a new boarding unit, height adjustable sinks, new hoist systems and acoustically moderated classrooms.
This was a live site with a shared access which always had to remain accessible to the school for pick-ups, drops off and emergencies.
Ryan and the teams focus was always on what would work best for the students, teachers and carers who would occupy it. And it was all delivered at the height of the Covid pandemic.
The Academy was handed over five weeks early with high-quality completions and within budget.
Ryan’s successful shortlist follows on from the success of our project manager David Bolton who recently won Construction Manager of the Year Ireland.
We wish Ryan the best of luck for the final in September!
