Taking part in the Plastic Pollution Revolution with Plastic Free July
For the second year in a row we are participating in Plastic Free July and playing our part in the Plastic Pollution Revolution.
Plastic Free July is a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution – so we can have cleaner streets, oceans, and beautiful communities.
Working with our site teams, we are running a Responsible Plastic Programme coaching session and have displayed our supporter certificate on our environmental notice boards.
We have asked all of our projects to make one commitment to reduce plastic waste for the rest of the year for example by banning single use plastics on site, asking PPE suppliers to package items without individual plastic wrapping and supporting local vendors who use sustainable and/or compostable containers for food and drinks.
A wealth of resources is available to all of our colleagues to help them make small changes in their own lives to reduce single plastic use.
