The Project
Farrans has completed work on the new extension and refurbishment to Seahaven Academy.
The construction of the new extension and the refurbishment of the existing school accommodated a new entrance area, administration suite, standard teaching classrooms, ICT/ multi-use classrooms, activity studio and replacement of staff offices.
Additionally, constructed was a new car parking provision for the increased numbers of staff and a rearrangement of the school access within the site. Alterations to the external arrangement includes the re-location of the bin store, re-located cycle storage and a new access way between the school car park and the lower level playground.
Services & Expertise
Working in partnership with the council and closely with the School Premises Manager, Farrans successfully integrated our works into the school with minimal disruption to the live school environment. Carefully considered traffic and construction management plans were created and updated regularly to the changing landscape of the works to ensure disruption to the school was kept to an absolute minimum.
